Join LCCC members and the Lake County Water Authority staff to tour Wolf Branch Sink on Saturday, May 11 th at 8:30 am. Wolf Branch Sink is a direct connection to the Floridan Aquifer, our regional water supply. It is due to this vulnerability to contamination that this property is not open to the public on a regular basis. We are fortunate to have this opportunity to visit this site managed by Lake County Water Authority. We will enjoy a walk to see the changes in terrain, plants, animals, birds and especially the sink itself. The sink is a charming sight surrounded by vegetation and, if we are in luck, we will see a tiny waterfall. But we will also leave understanding a little more about the importance of preserving conservation lands for their role in protecting water, wildlife and our Lake County quality of life. Please send an email to Lavonsilvernell@gmail.com to reserve a space.
